Virginia Buckle - A Michigan native, earned her B.A. degree at Siena Heights University, Adrian, Michigan and M.A. degree at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She began her career in the arts as a performance artist, acting in local community theater under the name of Virginia Streat, concurrently teaching English and dance at Moorpark High School.

After retiring from teaching, she studied the visual arts with Ellis Jump, Hiroko Yoshimoto, Carlisle Cooper, and Dorothy Orr.

A member of the Buenaventura Art Association and Artists Union Gallery, Virginia has exhibited widely in a number of solo shows as well as group exhibits and has won numerous awards for her sculptures and collages. Stylistically, her works range from represenative to abstract.
